I'm Toni married to Ant (Daisydad) and although my boys aren't used for off-roading, thought I'd introduce myself before we hopefully meet up on the 2nd. Very Happy

My daily ride (Barry) is my 300tdi which is basically unmodified and is the family taxi, but my pride and joy is my old boy Mac. Mac's a 1959 Series 2 109 which was used as a recovery vehicle, but can't sit the kids on a crane so …

Decided to put up my project since i'm nearly done after 4 years of inactivity. Background is i have an ex military 109 with a 2286 petrol 5 bearing and some extras as per taste. Got stuck in the long lawford ford and seized the engine so a swop was in order.
Fast forward to last summer and got a nice rover v8 with weber 50m carb and eidlebrock intake cheap with all the adaptors and spare gearbox. Fitted in easily enough but ran out of cash. Finally afforded the new parabolics and polybushes and got a donor 109 v8 for the bulkhead and whole v8 drive train. Chopped it in half as the chassis was rotten and started stripping the rear axle to rebuild ready to fit on the back. Hope to have it for billing but doubt it. May have to take the green diesel 109 instead but in truth i'm trying to sell that one. Just need some new diffs as the originals are surprisingly good but wanting some rangie diffs etc.
