I'm Toni married to Ant (Daisydad) and although my boys aren't used for off-roading, thought I'd introduce myself before we hopefully meet up on the 2nd. Very Happy

My daily ride (Barry) is my 300tdi which is basically unmodified and is the family taxi, but my pride and joy is my old boy Mac. Mac's a 1959 Series 2 109 which was used as a recovery vehicle, but can't sit the kids on a crane so …

fiting my steering guard Empty
PostSubject: fiting my steering guard   fiting my steering guard EmptyThu Jun 21, 2012 9:25 am

Finally got round to having another go at fitting the steering guard to my disco II . There i was happy that the bolts were coming undone nicely when i suddenly realized that the whole of the front bumper asembly started moving about silent it was then i started to panic abit and thought to myself this could turn very pear shaped pale i was on my own and at work and really shouldn't have been anywhere near my landrover. So i quickly put the bolts back in again and tightend them up again. so is this a job for two people or do you just need to support the bumper with axle stands or the like or is there anything else i should be doing would reaally love to get this job out of the way, any one that can offer any help i would be very greatfull. Thanks.
